After a challenge battle, according to battle result, the winner gets scores and the loser loses scores. Your scores determine your ranking, the higher the ranking, the better ranking rewards you receive when the arena closes.

You also receive the winning rewards everytime you win a challenge battle based on your scores, the higher the scores, the better the winning rewards.

Scores are calculated individually for different arena.
